One of my favourite pieces I've created is Summer Vibes — one of the few larger works I've done, measuring 38 × 76 × 4 cm (14.96" × 29.92" × 1.57"). It was actually the first time I tackled a canvas of that size, as most of my earlier pieces were at least three to four times smaller. Taking on something bigger felt intimidating at first, but I approached it step by step.
This piece took time to complete, and I was intentional about not rushing it. I'm genuinely proud of how it turned out. More importantly, it taught me the value of slowing down during the painting process. Rushing decisions can muddy the colours or disrupt the flow of the composition — neither of which look great on canvas. It also helped me realise the importance of planning my ideas more thoughtfully, rather than diving in headfirst
